ASHLAND, Ore. – Crews are investigating a structure fire that damaged the attic and roof of a home on the 100 block of Pinecrest Terrace.
It happened Monday at about 10:50 AM. According to reports, firefighters from Ashland Fire and Rescue and Jackson County Fire District #5 arrived to find flames and smoke coming from the roof of the two-story home.
The family is said to have escaped without incident. Crews reportedly knocked the fire down quickly, but damage to the attic and ceiling will prevent the family from returning to the home for at least one night.
The exact cause of the fire is under investigation.
